The Pacific Library Partnership (PLP) is recruiting for a Coordinator for Library Meal Sites and Partnerships contract position as part of the statewide Lunch at the Library project. The two major initiatives of this project are to:

  • provide mini-grants to libraries to support new public library summer meal sites, the development of existing sites, and pop-up libraries at meal sites in the community.
  • develop partnerships with community organizations to enhance public library summer meal sites.

 

This is a contract position, and we are hiring immediately. The position last through December 2020. It averages about 10 hours per week of work, most of it during work hours, but some can be flexible hours. The primary duties include identifying and recruiting new public library sites and jurisdictions to join the project, assisting libraries in connecting and working with meal providers for lunch at the library, ensuring good collaborations between those stakeholders, and providing technical assistance. Travel (visiting libraries and attending meetings) will be required for this project.  There are multiple people working on this project, and you can read more about it at https://lunchatthelibrary.org/
