Stewards of change: Library staff shaping organizational culture
Is your organization’s culture evolving? How can you ensure that your organization’s culture is connecting with your staff and community? In this three-hour workshop, Dr. Michele Villagran will focus on the role of frontline staff in organizational culture and change, how staff become stewards of change, and develop strategies to move an organization’s culture forward. Learn key steps in evaluating and managing your organization’s culture and the importance of adjusting a culture to changing environments.
Registration Fee: Brought to you by the PLP Staff Development Committee, this interactive training is exclusive to all staff of the Pacific Library Partnership member libraries. Registration fees are waived for this training through the support of the PLP Executive Committee.
NOTE: This interactive workshop has limited capacity. To allow a chance for staff from all PLP member libraries to participate, we encourage each library to ask their frontline staff to register in quantities considerate to the rest of the PLP member libraries.

About the trainer: Dr. Michele A. L. Villagran is based in the Los Angeles area and serves as a CEO of CulturalCo, LLC consulting in areas of diversity & inclusion, cultural competency and cultural intelligence, bias, emotional intelligence, and conflict management. Additionally, Dr. Villagran is an Assistant Professor with the San José State University School of Information focusing on cultural diversity. Her research focuses on diversity and social justice issues in library and information science and cultural intelligence phenomena within libraries.
