In-Person AI Training Opportunities (March 10 – 12, 2025)

PLP, in partnership with California Libraries Learn (CALL), will be hosting three free in-person, hands-on, AI training workshops across the region. The workshops will explore the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, focusing on generative AI and large language models. Through interactive sessions that include practical exercises and collaborative discussions, participants will gain insight into how AI can support library services and operations. Ethical considerations, such as privacy, copyright, and equitable access, will be addressed alongside strategies for using AI responsibly. With a blend of presentations, demonstrations, and colleague engagement, this workshop provides a comprehensive foundation for integrating AI tools into professional practice.

Workshops will be held in three locations, each from 8:30 a.m. – noon:

March 10, 2025 – South San Francisco Library (901 Civic Campus Way, South San Francisco, CA 94080)
March 11, 2025 – Alameda County Library, Fremont Branch (2400 Stevenson Blvd, Fremont, CA 94538)
March 12, 2025 – Watsonville Public Library (275 Main St., Suite 100, Watsonville, CA 95076)

To register for one of the workshops, please visit: https://forms.office.com/r/iXM15QvWvS

Registration is limited to 50 participants at each location, and registrants should only register for one location. This training is only open to PLP members.
