Cañada College is seeking an innovative and student-centered Electronic Resources Librarian to provide leadership for the development of distance education programing and resources campus-wide. These will include online resources and services for distance education courses as well as online library resources and services for all students. The Electronic Resources Librarian will work with librarians, faculty, and staff across campus to integrate library services into online learning.
The Electronic Resources Librarian is expected to be active professionally in the fields of librarianship and distance education and will keep abreast of emerging technologies and trends for a diverse study body (including Basic Skills, ESL, Transfer, Career and Technical, and Honors students). This includes trends in electronic library resources, such electronic books and journals, electronic textbooks, open educational resources, and digital literacy. The Electronic Resources Librarian will collaborate with the campus Instructional Designer to provide training for the campus community on new technologies and online resources.
